Recommendation Situation

My recommenders gave me their sealed and signed letters to me before school went out for break, but I [stupidly] forgot to ask my GC to sign the envelope seals.

Is it still a good idea to try and mail everything in the same manila envelope as my application? I'd feel better about having my transcript, application, and recommendations in the same place.

You can send them either separately or in the same envelope. My d's teachers didn't sign the envelope seals. I really don't think it matters.

Most schools accept things in pieces. If they have an online login thingy, they'll often tell you what things they have and what things you still owe them.

I admit, I like having everything sent in one envelope and then being done with it, rather than worrying about what I'm missing. In your case, I think it all depends on when the deadline is. After all, they can't look at your application until it's completed, so sending in everything but the recommendations won't make them come to a decision any faster.
