Hi i'm thinking of applying to Indiana University but was wondering if I need to write an essay or send recommendation letters. I have already checked the website and have heard that it depends on my scores. Does anybody know if I should send the essay and letters with this score?

I would send a recommendation letter regardless of your scores, just to be on the safe side. I don’t think IU asks for an essay since they have so many applicants they won’t have time to read them all. They do, however, ask for a personal statement instead on their application, which in their terms allows you to “tell them something about yourself that isn’t visible on your application.”

Ok, thank you for replying. I have heard that it is better not to provide a recommendation letter if I had good scores but I’m pretty sure that I’m just average ^_^;

There’s no harm in sending one, besides it makes you look good
