Should I do the essay?

I keep going back and forth as to whether or not I should do the essay. My GPA is a 3.33 unweighted and 3.52 weighted. I got almost all A's except for two classes last semester too.
My ACT superscore is a 28, and on our school statistics everyone who has a similar ACT score and GPA has gotten in. Is it worth it?

It can’t hurt you.

What essay. I thought there is none

Where is the essay?

You can do an optional personal statement/send in recommendations. And I know it can’t hurt me, but if it’s one less essay that I have to do with school starting and all of the schools I’m applying to that have required essays, I’m just wondering that if without it I still have a decent chance of getting in.

I wrote one and I had a 3.85 weighted with 30 act. It’s up to you.

It certainly can’t hurt. If you’re applying to other colleges that require essays you can definitely use the same ones for IU as they don’t have a prompt or anything of the sort. Your stats are decent but IU does get more competitive every year so who knows how admissions will be next year.
