Recommendations for schools with good Business/Econ. related majors in the NYC area?

Hello, I lived in New York City for the first ten years of my life before moving to the Houston, Texas area and now that I'm beginning the end of my HS career I'm looking to fulfill my dream of returning to go to college. Now we all know, NYC=Business Capital of the World, but I can't help but feel overwhelmed. Could anybody with knowledge of colleges and universities recommend any NYC area schools with good undergraduate programs for people looking to pursue a business/economics related major? If that's the field I go into I definitely want to be in New York where I can easily get career opportunities and internships. I won't be going to a Harvard or Colombia as I don't really meet the outstanding prerequisites, but I have been looking for those lesser known schools with good programs.

However in the searches I've done I get a lot of conflicting reports (ie. this school is bad/no it's actually great) and I just thought I'd come on here for consistent, valid info. Would any of you recommend Pace University for business? I was looking into the Manhattan campus but I'm kinda unsure atm...

What about the CUNY and SUNY colleges? In some places they were called better than Pace when it comes to Business/Econ and I've heard same for Fordham.. And how is St. Johns??

As you can see I'm feeling a lot of college anxiety atm, which I guess is normal? Haha, but if anyone can elaborate on some of those schools or recommend any other NYC area schools for the majors I mentioned it would be GREATLY appreciated. I leave for New York tomorrow with the family and I really hope to visit and get a feel for some of the schools I mentioned as well as any others you guys may recommend. Thanks in advance!!

nyu for business columbia for economics

In order of selectivity/placement:

Columbia
NYU
Fordham
Baruch

Hey. You might wanna Look at NYU’s Stern Business school if ur aiming for a degree in business. Its prolly the best school in nyc for that kinda stuff plus its one of the best, if not the best in the nation for Finance and gets recruited like crazy for great jobs (at least when the economy was better lol)
Columbia is great too. No business program but they have an econ major in their CAS and an operations research with finanacial engineering concentration major in their engineering school.
Ppl get great jobs from their as well.

Also look at CUNY Baruch, from what ive heard its a very good school too
