Hi guys, I know that this should be posted for summer programs, but I hope that I'll get more of a response here.
I'm a freshman atm, and I'm wondering is it worth it to apply to SAAST (UPenn's summer program), ABI (i found it on cogito), and there's a biotech camp at a local college. I'm mostly into biology atm, but as a freshman (rising sophomore), I don't know if its worth spending money on application fees.

i'm currently taking:

English 9- (AP lang comp junior year, no honors till then)
Algebra II/ Trig Honors
Biology Honor
Chem (no honors offered, and chem is a prerequisite)
Global I (Social Studies)- we can take AP World 10th
French 2 Honors

Already taken in middle school:
Geometry Honors got A
Earth Science- got A (required for NYS)
French 1- B+ (i was really stupid, and didn't do much work_
Communications- as part of Tech 9- special course offered to 8th graders- got A
Electricity- as part of special technology program- got B+ (this was more building stuff than actual technology)
Algebra 1 Honors- 7th grade, A

ECs:
Model UN, school newspaper, science olympiad, fbla, math team, probably will start volunteer hours at hospital

Is it worth it, and do you guys have any suggestions for programs?
Most camps and stuff are sophomores up, and I can't apply to CMU because i'm turning 15 after the summer :(.

I know about SAAST, advanced biotech institute, some other ones. have you guys had any experiences or know anyone who's done them?

I probably can elect to shadow some professor in a lab and do cty and self study over the summer as other options.

Thanks!
