I gave my teachers the envelopes and stuff a while ago, and they sent out my recommendations. Just this morning I realized I didn’t give one of them my social security #. There are 2 other recommendations with my SS, but it’s just that one without it. Will it matter? What do I do? Do I call the admissions office and tell them what happened?
BTW, if it makes any difference, we’re talkin about Cornell, Dartmouth, and UPenn.

As long as they can match the letter to a file you are fine. They will do so by name and, if there is the same name more than once, by high school. If there are two or more people from a high school with the same name applying to the same college, then you might have an issue.

Usually admissions offices follow-up and let you know if your application is complete. Many send postcards to do so. If you haven't heard from them about 3 weeks after the due date, just e-mail them and ask. There really is no need to panic over the lack of SS#. That's a back-up. Remember your name, city and school are also on the forms.
