Recommended computer science colleges/universities?

Hello College Confidential!

I am a current senior who is currently applying to colleges/universities. Although I just started taking computer science courses, I am really interesting in majoring in this field. I live in Massachusetts and I am having a hard time looking for schools that offer a good computer science course.

Right now, I am only aiming for colleges in the New England area, however I will consider some southern ones.

Here are my list of colleges so far that I may apply to:
Northeastern University
Boston University
Umass Amherst
University of Connecticut
WPI
Virginia Tech
Penn State University Park

For an undergrad degree? The cheapest one possible. Seriously. The curriculum varies very little between universities when it comes to undergrad degrees, why would you pay more? Your best bet is probably a state flagship.

Actually, CS curricula do vary, sometimes considerably. There were some threads not too long ago from a student wanting to use a tuition exchange program to go to a school to major in CS, but the possible schools that that student listed had very inadequate CS course offerings for someone majoring in CS.

However, if the school is either well known for CS, or it has ABET accreditation for CS, then it should be fine as far as curriculum goes. Better known schools do tend to attract more non-local recruiters to their career centers.
