<p>Hello
I am an African American that is being recruited by UPENN for track and field.
I am scheduled for an official visit in the future. I was wondering if taking an official visit significantly raises your chances of being accepted. I have a 1950 SAT and 3.7 UW GPA. </p>

<p>PS. Will a one day suspension in 10th grade due to temporary id's and late to class, hinder my chances of acceptance?</p>

<p>If you are being recruited, chances are that your application will have some leverage when it comes to being considered for admission. Check the general statistics for UPenn admits and see if you can ferret out some information on athletic recruits to see where you fit in. </p>
