Recruited to Come Visit Bowdoin

Hi there, everyone. I have been recruited by Bowdoin to come visit the campus, all-expenses paid. I know about the astounding academics, but what can you tell me about the campus? When I arrive on campus in late September, what will I be amazed at? What will be disappointed in? Any odd comments by Bowdoin students would be nice! ;)

By the way, I am so grateful to Bowdoin for the all-expenses paid visit. I absolutely can’t wait to visit on September 21-23.

what did you do to get that?

I am a Questbridge College Prep Scholar and Bowdoin is a partner college of the organization. The College Prep Scholarship included an all-expenses paid visit component. Bowdoin decided to choose me, apparently. Neat-o.

You will be amazed at how comfortable an atmosphere it is and how beautiful the ocean and scenery is.

Congratulations! Questbridge is an amazing program.

I thought I would provide an update considering I just got back from my trip to Bowdoin. I absolutely adore the school after my two nights of staying there. The food was great, the people were amazing, the campus is beautiful, the classes I visited were taught very well, and many other things. Thanks to all of you guys and gals that made my visit so great (except for the couple of remarks about my use of "y'all"; I am from the South, you know ;) )

Glad that you had a good visit, and thanks for the update. The campus may look old but the energy behind it all is quite vibrant and relevant. Like all the top LAC's, this school is looking toward the future and giving all it can to it's students.

I actually enjoyed the "old" feel of the campus. I attended the Introduction to Physics 1 class in Searles and the classroom was very antique, but very pleasing. The social houses were pretty old too, but that made them all the better. So much history behind them!
