Apparently the administrators of the ACT have chosen to use the same exam that was given on Feb 6th for the rescheduled exams due to the snow storm. I am outraged because students who have already taken the exam have posted questions and answers. Is any other parents of a student who took it on Feb. 6th feel as I do?

My daughter took the ACT on Feb 6. If other students who have to take it on a reschedule read those questions and answers and take the test and have that “advantage” then I guess that is the way the ball bounces. The fact is the ACT recycles every question they ask on different tests so questions on the Feb test had some component of the November, December and January Test. Bits and pieces here and there. There is no “pure” test and no question that has not reappeared at one time or another.

Recycling questions over time is one thing but the very same set of questions a week or two later? That’s crazy. I think that it should be reported.

I suspect it would be logistically impossible to do anything else. How long does it take to assemble and distribute tests? What about setting up the mechanisms for grading the tests?

Even if they were able to get it together in time, they would then have to contend with “the other test was easier” complaints.

No win situation really.
