So my new SAT scores are in. I've improved.

First time: M 600 / R 700 / W 690

Second time: M 660 / R 690 / W 740

For a superscore of 2100.

However...

Judging by my scores, you would say I am bad at math and good at writing right? Well I am a good writer, not super-incredibly-oh-my-god-shes-so-awesome type of writer, but fairly good.

And I am good at math. Every time I take the SAT (Thrice because I canceled my second time's scores) the math is the easiest; the one I am most confident about. I take the math and I am sure I nailed it.

And then my scores come and they say otherwise. I am mad at the SAT. The reason why I canceled my second-time scores it's because I was sitting there taking the test, and it just hit me: "This company, this collegeboard, is going to put trick questions in this here 'aptitude test' and wait for me to get them wrong. Once I do get them wrong, they are going to send a nice letter to the colleges I am applying to saying 'We are sorry, but MetdethGNR is not good at math'"

Of course the "letter" is the scores themselves.

And I got upset. Who does collegeboard think it is? Yes, you are huge Mr. Collegeboard, I know that. But what gives you the right to decide whether a student is good or bad at a subject? I love math. It's my favorite right after science. You don't see me loving my calculus class. You don't see me in my school's Math Club. You don't see me. You don't know me. Yet you judge whether I am good or not.

I guess this is a rant. But for all of you out there (many in CC) who have aced the SAT, a sincere congratulations. Although it may seem like many get a 2400 (because they all gather here in CC), the truth is that the majority of the country sucks at this.

So to the ones who didn't do as good as they expected: this is not an "aptitude" test. It's a business. It's filled with trick questions not meant to test "how smart" you are.

To the ones who did ace it: Congratulations. You are not only smart, but you cannot be tricked.

I am still mad I didn't get at least a 700 in Math. Arrrrgggghh
