regard transfer to UCLA or UCSD

Is there any ways to transfer into UCLA or UCSD with 2.9 - 3.0 GPA?

depends on your major.
but personally, your chances are slim. 3.0 is too low for LA.

For UCSD, it's more likely a 60% admit rate for you. UCSD takes more transfers from the southern California area. For my community college in Pasadena, out of the 210 applicants who applied, more than 180 students were accepted. UCSD takes a lot of people from So Cal due to the geographic guideline as a public institution they must follow. As for UCLA, 3.00 is possible... depending on major. If you have a special circumstance that led you have a low GPA such as a disability, there's a possibility that you can get in still tooo... though I am not so sure of the chances there as well.

well the average gpa admit for UCSD was 3.4 so it's not impossible but I wouldn't just bank on it. If you're intent on transferring next year w/ a sub-3.0 gpa I would definitely apply to some state schools too to be on the safe side.
