<p>Anyway, when it comes to deadlines, say a college app is due on "1/1/09".
Do they mean at 11:59pm EST 12/31/08, or 11:59pm 1/1/09?</p>
<p>I know a lot of other people have been wondering about this,
And the answer could be the difference between an extra day of revision, or a last minute rush :P</p>

<p>If you are applying to Yale, though the app is due 11:59 EST 12/30/08. So remember, Yale is the exception!</p>
<p>Actually, for most schools apps are due at 11:59 on the deadline day (i.e. 11/59 on 1/1). Not for all, but for many...</p>
