regarding AP credit

ok, im a community college student, working my way to be a junior level transfer to UC davis.

i only took one AP test, APUS. i got a 3 on it.

my community college awards 12 quarter units for this one test. Davis awards 8 units for this one test.

currently, i am awarded 12 units from AP scores on my transcript.

so do i count this as 8 or 12 units toward the 90 units i need to complete by spring?

and how many ap credits will be awarded as credit for toward my bachelor's degree? 8 or 12.

thank u.

bump.............

I believe it goes with the University, and that's your safe bet. I have this same problem, too. But my problem is greater because I have a year of them.

I don't believe you count the AP credit AT ALL toward the 90 units you need by spring. After all, you're still supposed to be taking a certain number of courses in between freshman year and the time you transfer. What you should instead be asking is, when I get to Davis, will I have 98 units or 102? (the answer is probably 98, too).

i got a 4 on chem for which clemson gave me credit for chem101 and 102, now if i transfer to penn who only takes 5's, am i going to find myself taking chem101 again?

As I understand it, yes.
