How different is it from the SAT essay?
What is the BEST strategy to get an 11/12?
If I got 10 essay on SAT, what do I really need to do get an 11/12 on the ACT one?
Any other hints and tips?

From what I've heard, the writing sections on the ACT and SAT are similar. In fact, both ACT and the College Board hire out their essay grading to the same companies.

I've never taken the SAT before, but I would guess a good essay on the SAT would get similar marks on the ACT.

The ACT essay is much easier. The SAT uses more philosophical questions, like the source of happiness. (Ugh, I hated that one so much!) On the other hand, the ACT has more straightforward prompts that give you an issue and ask you to take a side on it. For example, my essay asked if I believed technology, such as educational video games, were assets to learning, and asked me to explain my position with support blah blah blah. My score on the ACT essay was much higher.

bump......

one BIG difference in the ACT essay is that you must acknowledge teh opposing view.
