Regarding years used for Canadian bachelor...

Hey, student from Norway here, considering going to Canada as an international student. Considering I'll be 19 when i graduate from secondary education and can get a 3 year bachelor in Europe, I rather not use 4 years. So far I'm quite confused how many years you use in Canada. Is it 3, or 4? Or does it vary from region to region? Also, if its 4 years, do you think they would allow me to skip the first one?

Some Canadian schools (especially in Ontario) offer three-year bachelor’s degrees. From what I’ve heard, those tend to be less rigorous and will not be looked at highly by graduate schools or more selective employers.

Quebec has a somewhat different system because they have the pre-university CEGEP program that essentially covers the last year of high school and first year of college.

You may be able to waive a significant number of credits by transferring in AP or IB test scores. Check with individual institutions for their policies.
