Regents Exams vs SATs?

Hey everyone,

I'm really good friends with a student from New York State. He has perfect scores on several NY state regents exams, including math and modern greek. I always told him these would really help him with admissions, along with a good SAT score. Any opinions? Thx

Regents exams are much easier than the regents -> if a person in NY took regents Bio and then took the SAT they would get a very low score, even some kids honors don't do well, unless if they study hard.

Oh man, then I better start studying :(

regents bio and sat 2 bio dont compare. How do i know? I have taken them both ( i knew sat 2 bio was 10x harder b4 i took it tho).

I have taken them both too. Shouldn't the teacher tell you that it is harder? My teacher did -> but, if you know regents level really well just get a prep book and you'll be fine

ya, regents level curriculum is suited to make sure EVERYONE passes, sat2 level goes much more than that and tries to truly assess your knowledge on the subject- so I suggest grabbing a review book- most regents-geared textbooks are not great for the sat2.
