I'm right there with you charlie123. I emailed Alex Ramirez (regents scholarship coordinator) last week and received a reply yesterday that simply stated that letters will be going ou this week. Honestly, I don't know how much longer I can wait and I'vbe already allowed my hopes to get WAY too high.
Good luck to you! (and me!)

I'm still waiting for this scholarship as well. At least I got one Regents Scholarship today... UCSB sent me a huge envelope.

Lucky you...I called UCSB yesterday and I found out I didn't get it. It kind of bummed me out. They said I did not demonstrate enough "interest in major". I wish they would take into consideration that I have worked nearly full time for the past two years, and that I have rent, bills, etc., to pay. I feel it must be so much easier for someone who lives with their parents, doesn't have a job, is right out of high school into college (so they can show all volunteer work/awards/EC from there), and can just focus on their academic career.

I just had to get that out of my system! ;-)

Charlie don't take this stuff personally, it's probably just a crap shoot. I don't think they are looking for the student who is straight out of high school, living with his or her parents. In my case I have a 4.0 and was in the military for four years. I support myself and have bills to pay like anyone else. We'll see what happens with UCLA but I would be surprised if a bunch of students two years out of high school got the Regents.

I wish I could transfer my Regents scholarship from UCD to UCLA :D

I wish I could transfer mine from UCSB to Cal ;)

Gattaca, I know you're right. Like I wrote, I'm just venting off some steam. I'm glad that these scholarships are going to people that are in the same boat as me. It's just sometimes difficult to accept these things when you feel like you've done the best that you could have. Like a good friend of mine said, you may have the strategy down, but sometimes you're just not dealt the right cards.

But anyway, my energies have been focused on UCLA, not UCSB. I still have my fingers crossed (and my toes!)

Good luck to everyone!

For UCLA Regents Scholarship: would epal already reflect reward???

hold on, i'm confused...
why are you just hearing now for the regent's scholarship?
i heard back in march.

The freshmen students heard in March, but we transfer students are still waiting for the notification of the scholarship.

They have mailed the letters yesterday.

I checked earlier today (around 2:30 p.m. on March 20) and they said that I got the regents scholarship and there was a bunch of information about it with links on the side to a regents reception. One of my friends who goes to my high school also got it too. But now I can't access the page anymore. I wonder whats up.

haha three year bump

i can't access it right now either

Same here...

Don't worry, I called FAO this morn and they said they are having system issues.

Regents link in FAO login is working now...

I received the scholarship, but I didn't know until I received notification in the mail. There has never been a congratulatory letter that popped up when I checked my financial aid online, and the links have never shown up for me.
