<p>Hi – Is there any info available on the statistics for kids accepted as Regents Scholars? A friend (in state, rising senior) is trying to determine if she is competitive for one of these. Do the qualifying numbers vary from one UC to another?

<p>D was selected as a Regent Scholar at UCD....top 1% of the applicant pool qualifies??...My D was also an ELC...and sent a letter from UCD encouraging her to apply with a promise to accept her provide she kept up her GPA...her stats: ranked number one in a large phs...2260 SATs, 4.0 UW GPA, rigurous courses ie junior year took: AP Cal.BC, APUSH, AP Eng, Physics, Drama, Adv Dance, Theatre Workshop-got 5s on her APs-She was accepted to UCB, and UCLA. <p>I'm a Regent Scholar (class of 2010). 4.0 UW, ~2140, 5's on five AP's, 4 on 1 (self-studied for it...), took the hardest classes available, #1 in class of 400, co-valedictorian, volunteering and work experience.</p>
