Okay, what are they? X_x I'm so confused right now lol.

I have a class that has one seat available and I've been trying to register, however; I'm getting this error.

There are currently no windows open for registration. Here are some possible reasons why:
No windows open for registration.
You are not eligible to register at this time.
There is a system problem. If you feel this is the case, please contact the Registrar's Office.

Now I don't have any registration holds on my account, the lady I spoke with earlier said that it may be that there are no registration windows open.

I currently have 11 credits registered for next semester, but, I wanted to get this other class in for a total of 14 credits.

: '( this new system will take some getting use to.

How would I be able to add new classes if I have no registration windows? what the heck are they lol?

I don’t know the official answer, but I would guess that it is so that places like the bookstore know how many copies of the textbooks they need to order, and so that professors can plan their classes based around how many students are registered.

It’s also helpful in case a course doesn’t fill up as expected, the course can be moved to a smaller room and a bigger class can use the bigger room.

However, I don’t know if there’s really an official reason other than it’s just easier that way. I know they stagger registration based on earned credit hours so that the system isn’t overloaded the first day with everyone trying to get the classes they want/need.

Ah, thanks for the info. I’ve gotta try to avoid this from happening again X_x’ it’s rather frustrating to see one spot left in a class and you can’t have it lol.

There’s currently two classes I’m look at right now I’d like to enroll in.

CLP3305 | CLINCL/COUNSEL PSYCH | Professor: Sullivan, James R

There’s no spot available for this class right now and the first meeting would be Wednesday the 4th, it starts at 02:30 PM - 03:20 PM, since add/drops open up that day, if a spot do become available before 2:30PM I suppose I could add it right?

If not, it would be wise to attend the class for that first day?

And there’s another one that first class would be on Thursday a 9:30AM class X_x’

Thanks for the info guys : ) it’s really helpful!

If you are interested in the class, yes, absolutely go on the first day if it’s full. You might get lucky and a spot open up, but it’s much more likely that someone just won’t show up to class than for them to drop.

ah, thanks for the heads up. I E-mailed the professor a while back, he replied yesterday to me and suggested that I attend his class on the first meet : )
