The instructions given when you download the exam information are very clear. If you read them then you should have no trouble citing the reference material.

so what kind of work is comm 103? lots of writing research papers outside of class? or what? is the course syllabus available?

Comm 103 is a basic college composition course. It teaches you how to effectively communicate through writing in a variety of formats. The curriculum varies by professor. My roommate neglected to attempt the comp exam, took Comm 103 and loved it. He felt it made him a much better writer and showed in his other courses.

I agree with tilgaham 100%

It sounded like, from the course description, that we would have to give several oral presentations and write several papers. More than usual for a college composition class, considering if we take it we “need to develop our writing and communication skills” or whatever. Or am I just thinking incorrectly?

I have to take session two of this in July, totally not looking forward to it.

You will have some papers to write as well as a presentation (I think). Nothing too challenging though. The papers are short and not hugely research oriented.

That doesn’t sound bad at all. Thanks, now I’m not too worried about how I’ll do on the comp exam.

Same, thanks

The other thing is, this is an intro course. They expect you to learn and improve, not churn out thesis level papers from the get-go. From what I have heard, the class is fairly simple and very relaxed.

people who handed in a blank page - did you take both COMM 100 and COMM 103 or just COMM 103?
