Regretting Sutherland Housing choice?

Well I just finished putting all my housing information in, and I opted to go solely for sutherland (picked a 6 person suite first, then a double, then a single). Its no surprise that there'd be more athletes in this dorm than in the towers because of its proximity to the facilities, but is it solely athletes? Because I'm not an athlete in the slightest, and would hate to be around people like that 24/7 (even though the people in my suite arent really athletes either, we already have our group set up). I know that this year, honors is going to be housed on the west side of the building, but is the east side ALL athletes, or more of a mix? Also, what's the situation on the partying/rowdiness of the dorms here? (I'm not really a huge partier so being with a bunch of loud athletes is a concern too haha). Advice from current pitt students/alumni/parents appreciated..

If you know the others in your suite, it’s not like athletes will bother you. I would guess that the athletes will be on different floors. The suites have their own doors that can be closed off from the main hall. I did not hear any overhead noise at all. However, I was not there on weekend nights, either.

Well, some floors virtually have no athletes, and some are infested with them. And, remember, athletes include track runners, swimmers etc. Not just the football/basketball players.

SE was a fun experience. I mean, everyone obeyed the quiet hours, and the dorms aren’t known for parties. The frats are close by, so fri and sat night will be extremely loud at times. Other than that, it is quite peaceful.
