Waitlisted - 34 ACT 4.3 GPA from NJ with a great interview… tons of ECs (class council VP of honor society, founder of club, hospital volunteer, varsity athlete etc.) all AP classes. I was definitely shocked to be waitlisted, but congrats to everyone else who was accepted. I’m going to stay on the wait list, but I was accepted to UVA and Lehigh’s IDEAS program and will most likely be attending one of those schools instead.
@Yacht998 depends on how badly you want Wake. I would say August 1 if I were you, there is no real downside. My d was waitlisted at Chapel Hill, she graduated with another college on her fancy engraved high school graduation program in June, and it was mid June before she cleared the wait list for UNC… She went for it, and never looked back. Unless you’re 100 percent sure of your other choice, and you think you MIGHT prefer Wake, give them a late date. The colleges usually have an understanding that if you clear the wait list somewhere, you can still get a refund, but check to make sure. Besides if you say August 1 and they contact you on July 31, you can always say no.

Accepted in Oregon!! American living abroad senior year but package was sent to home in US.
Accepted in CA. 1350 SAT, 4.3 GPA, 3.8 UW with many weighted classes and A’s but also a string of B’s first semester of senior year. Visited and interviewed all the way from SoCal and wrote very insightful and creative essays.

Waitlisted, 3.9 GPA 1/275, 1310. Amazing ECs, NHS President, Class Officer, Troop President, great interview (or so I thought) really upsetting since Wake was my first choice

Accepted in CA! 4.3 W GPA and 30 ACT. No interview. Lots of ECs and volunteering. Wrote about Trump. Thrilled.
Accepted. Wake says check back on financial aid in a couple weeks. Does anyone know if any merit scholarships have been given out or are provided in two weeks? We would be paying full boat here which is a TON of money whereas some other very competitive financial offers from other schools.
Waitlisted in MO. 4.1 W GPA. 1340 SAT New. No interview. 3 year class vice president. Captain of two sports teams. 4 year 2 sport varsity athlete. Cum Laude society (top 10% of class, no rankings). Lot’s of other leadership positions and EC’s. Thought my letters of rec were pretty good. Wrote about favorite forms of chicken for top 10 list. Probs why I’m waitlisted lmao.
Also, waitlisted at Claremont Mckenna, rejected from a handful. Accepted at smaller schools (Rhodes College, Lake Forest). 5 AP’s. Visited.
Waitlisted in FL. 3.6 UWGPA, 3.9 WGPA. 28 ACT, 1290 SAT. 4 APs. Visited twice, sat in on a class, meeting w/ CompSci professor, Lots of unique ECs such as running three businesses, I have an app in the App Store, and I’m a fluent Irish speaker. Also 4 years of varsity football, NHS, FHS, head church’s tech team.
Wake was my top choice. Really bummed.
