Regular Decision.. Can I send in different recommendations?

<p>Hey all!</p>

<p>So I'm applying to some schools through QuestBridge regular decision and I need some help/advice with the teacher recommendations. I know that you can choose to forward your whole application to certain schools, but still need to submit the Common App along with the supplementary materials, teacher recs, etc. </p>

<p>I was wondering if it's possible and/or advisable to send in different teacher recs? I'm very happy with one of my recs, but I'm uncertain whether or not the other one is outstanding or mediocre. So when I send recs for Common App, can I send in a rec from a new teacher? If I can, do you think this is a good idea?</p>

<p>Oh I’m sure you can. Of course you want your recommendations to be the best for you that they can be. My S plans to have different recommenders depending on the school and if the teacher is an alum.</p>

<p>Having alum write recs is a idea I didn’t really consider yet, that sounds like a great plan! Thanks for the fast reply as well, I’m going to ask my teachers about recs this coming Monday. Ah so many things to keep track of! I’m constantly in fear that I’m forgetting a deadline haha.</p>

<p>I am not a QB finalist, so I can’t help but agonize over all the things that could have gone wrong in my application… I suppose there’s not much I can do about it now!</p>
