She has been offered a $23,000 scholarship at another school so probably won’t attend USF but we’ll see.

@CoastalKid: We’re in Wisconsin. Letter came today.

@ambikav33 Same here! I would be interested in a GroupMe! Are you for sure going to attend USF this fall?

Did anyone else NOT get any merit in their letter. Stats are not the best but I have 0 mention of merit. (3.5/3.68)? Every other private gave at least $20K

Accepted!

Major: Psychology
GPA: 3.87 UW
SAT: 1990

Merit Scholarship of $19,000

Very interested in a groupme! :D.

If anyone wants the link to the GroupMe, just PM me  I can’t post it on here because of the rules.

How do I get onto the portal on myUSF? I was never given an email with a username or anything, and when I tried to enter my ID and my email when trying to get a password, it said there wasn’t a student with that email. Help please lmao

@tpantone13 You should have been emailed an ID and then have gotten another email right after that with the password they give you!

@CoastalKid I’m currently logged onto the iris2.usfca.edu with my ID and the password from the email, but it only says ‘Application Review.’ It doesn’t show me any missing application materials, but I know for a fact that I haven’t sent in my CSS Profile yet. I’m guessing they don’t have an actual portal? Or if there is one, I don’t have access to it… I emailed the appservices and now I’m just waiting for a response

Decision: Accepted!!!
Out of state (NJ)
New SAT: 1150

SO RELIEVED! Got rejected from UCSC last night, but this school has slowly been finding a place in my heart. Its gorgeous. Didnt think I was gonna end up in CA. Really happy. Best to everyone else.

Congratulations @CoastalKid! I think the more you learn about USF, the more excited you will be. And I can’t think of a more marvelous city to go to college in than San Francisco!

@NolaCAR Funny, thats the exact same way I described it to my family. The more I’ve looked at the school and have seen pictures, Ive just fallen in love. Ive been to San Francisco once before and loved it, I think the diversity of the city and school make it amazing for college students. Go Dons!

accepted!
ACT 30
GPA ~3.8 UW

from hawaii

Has anyone visited the school or is willing to talk about their experience? Looks pretty solid that I’ll be attending, so I would love to know more.

Congrats @CoastalKid. I saw you on one of the other threads also. My son got into USF, which we visited last summer. the u is right in the middle of the city, and the dorms have incredible views of what is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. The campus isn’t huge and SF streets run through it but it still feels like you’re on a campus. During our tour we heard that a lot of students move off campus after the first year or two. The university emphasis intellectual exploration the first couple of years through its general ed requirements, and there is some movement in the majors. They also emphasize internships and getting students to have experiences in the city. My only concern is with the cost, but that is the case at all private universities.

Accepted to SDSU Nursing
SAT 1280 / ACT 31
GPA 3.77/4.08

Got Merit letter finally.
Weird that they did not send it with acceptance letter. Other people got it with their letter and even the web site says they send it with acceptance. Puts USF back on the table. (but yikes…still expensive)
$21K scholarship
GPA: 3.5 UW 3.68 W
SAT: 1280
Major: English

Got Merit letter as well and was pleasantly surprised with USF’s generosity. It definitely keeps them in play.
