At MOSAIC the adcoms said the mail would go out this coming Friday.

The Vandy admissions blog is good about announcing when decisions have been mailed. Last year they were mailed on the Thursday, at Mosaic they said this coming Friday. I think it’s a pretty good bet that they’ll be in someone’s mailbox by Saturday, March 27th.

Hey guys I have a quick question.
I notice on the acceptance letter that my admission is contingent on maintaining my current level of academic achievement. Am I in trouble if I’m loosely averaging a B+ in all of my classes? Do I have anything to worry about, or am I simply being neurotic?

Last year, the acceptance packages arrived earlier than the other letters. (Priority Mail) FYI

New Orleans-You’re fine.

@ NewOrleans1 - You’ll be alright. They really just don’t want to see a significant drop in GPA (say, 3.8 to 2.5). Colleges may see that as an indication of poor effort and a tendency to slack off.

I called Vandy yesterday, and they told me that they were mailing the letters on April 1st, so a week from tomorrow. For whatever that’s worth.

Says on the Vandy admissions blog the mailing is the 26th… [Mailing Week 2010 Begins The Vandy Admissions Blog](Mailing Week 2010 Begins | The Vandy Admissions Blog | Vanderbilt University)

Has anyone else been notified they are a CURB SCHOLAR to Vandy , this year or last? I would love to get your perspective on the program. It is relatively new, but it fits me so perfectly, that it has pushed Vandy to the top of my preferences. I would love to hear from someone who has participated in it!!!
Thanks a million!

so is there a chance that we will get our letters by saturday, does everyone believe it ll be monday when we find out?

During the last few admissions cycles, it seems like letters have been mailed at the end of the week, possibly in order to minimize the number of phone calls and e-mails to the admissions office. Despite the fact that the blog post (and very likely a post here by one of the Vandy admissions staff) will indicate that decisions won’t be provided by phone for at least 5 days, I’m sure they are still inundated with phone calls. Usually the applicants who live in Nashville and the nearby surrounding areas receive their decisions the next day and start posting here.

The blog has a comment from an officer saying that all internationals will recieve an e-mail in case the mail hasn’t arrived by Monday.

So I bet everyone else will recieve an email as well.

This Vandy blog is so nerve-racking!! They have photos of their admission letter sorting process. Our letters are likely in these photos!
