Please let me know what my chances are for each school. Thanks.

your chances look good. once you get some real scores, of course, we can guess more critically. if it's at all possible to make a critical guess. yea. anyway, the cycling team sounds quirky. quirky is good (when applying to brown :)).

everything
s looking pretty good. as long as you get what you expect, i think there
s a good percentage that you can make it into the ivy league. or carnegie mellon.

Yes, what ElCommando said is true. I hate misleading titles. I also assume that any person who does that probably also is fudging their stats (as you seem to be doing since you really don't have an SAT I or SAT II score yet).

I'm not sure what it is meant by saying that I was "fudging" my stats (if it means falsifying, then my intention was certainly to not do so). The estimated SAT scores are taken from the average results of over 10 practice tests for each SAT II and the SAT I.

OK man here it comes: assuming what you wrote is not BS, and your quite audacious predictions will turn out correct - you are IN in all 4 schools, unequivocally. I have known people that got in those schools with lower stats than yours. Good luck.

If you do as well as anticipated on your boards, the schools you have listed are the top part of your list - reaches and match/reach. You need 2-3 schools that you will have a very good chance of being accepted at, and, if money is any kind of an issue, a financial safety as well.

For LAC's, Harvey Mudd would likely be a match (if your board scores come in). Since so many schools offer good CS programs, you might think about the exact field or fields you are interested in. UMich Ann Arbor, UW Madison and some of the other publics offer good programs, rolling admissions, and honors programs. If you are sure you want to pursue a CS major, you can look more at the program than the name on the school gate.

Work hard - and good luck - on your SAT's and SAT II's.

I think that you are one of those people who have schools like MIT/Brown as a reach (although if you apply ED to Brown you have a good chance), but if you apply to quite a few reach schools then you are sure to get in to some of them.

Other good CS programs at private schools:
Stanford (in a league of its own with MIT, Berk, and Carnegie)
Princeton
Caltech
Rice
Columbia
Duke... of course there are many others

Publics:
UCB
UIUC
UT
UW
GaTech
UM
UNC

Out of these GaTech and UNC are by far the smallest publics, although GaTech can be a bit misleading because engineering/CS are virtually its only strong programs.

What I don't fully understand, is how you became an editor, only after 2 years of experiance, with only 3 hours per week. If I was viewing your stats, I would either predict that the staff members of your newspaper has no experianced members, or that simply they gave you the position since you were a senior. That editor position wouldn't show that much commitment, nor leadership. But then again, thats the first thing that came to MY mind when I saw that. Being an E in C myself, its hard to picture myself appointing any editors who only joined that year, and did 3 hrs. But again, that's just me.

The only EC's that is a stand-out to me right now, is the Cycling team. All the other of your Ec's were started, I'm assuming from your info, your junior year. This is only a 2-year commitment, a solid 3 is what many colleges look for, I believe.

the NFL is from your speech and debate, which many, many people get.(Those in S&D) And those other two awards are...uh..I think you know.

Research, etc, all common things.
Like MzLover stated, I suggest getting some kind of recognition in, ( a national would be great) in what you are truly good at, maybe more in-depth of debate, etc.

So...right now, looking at GPA and the big IF you get those scores:

They are all sort of reaches, Brown being a larger extend, at this point. See how you do on those tests.
