Rejected ED'ers: What's your backup?

so yeah, it sucks that we didn't get into penn. but regardless, our college search must continue and i was just curious as to what some of our backup options are. please only list your next two or three choices, and not your full 50 school list....

anyway, for me:
1. Michigan
2. NYU
3. UC Berkeley

Swarthmore

Carnegie Mellon

WashU

Duke

Northwestern

UVA

1) Cornell
2) WashU
3) Brown
4) UMich

Surprisingly enough I got rejected, not even deffered. Well, I guess I’ll be going to NYU.

NYU

William and Mary

Tulane

1.Uchicago
2.Stern
3.berkeley

1) Tufts
2) Georgetown
3) UVA

just glancing at the top schools on all of our lists, its good to see that we haven’t been disheartened by one rejection!

theres definitely more of you out there…

What are your thoughts on USC’s Marshall School of Business?

well im applying there, but it isn’t in my remaining top three. (that said, its probably the next school after that). it’s a very reputable program and if you have the stats, you should definitely apply.

backups as in other schools, right? Not safeties…because Duke, Northwestern, WashU, UVa, CMU, Swarth would not be traditional backups…

Harvard
Princeton
Yale
Stanford

@powerbomb, yeah as in the next schools on your list, regardless of whether we will get in for sure or not

^^That’s the spirit!

I’ll bet you don’t wear those nasty old seatbelts, either.

^no I certainly do not

Harvard
Georgetown
UCB/UCLA (torn between the two)

I’m glad no one is being discouraged by one rejection. Good luck, everyone!

surprisingly I considered penn CAS to be my backup, but I EDed anyway.

nahhhh I’m just saying because I got rejected. It was my first and only choice.

1) Cornell
2) Brown
3) Columbia

I’m going to be different than everyone on here because I’m stupid compared to all of you, haha, and my parents won’t pay full freight unles its an ivy league (and after Penn, i HIGHLY doubt thats happening)

Tulane

Minnesota

Ohio State

I got almost full tuition to all of those schools though. so we’ll see
