Rejected from NYU, Accepted at Georgetown

So… I’ll be going to Georgetown University’s SFS this August. I am very excited, but I was just wondering - what do you think might have been the reason that I got rejected from NYU Gallatin? I hadn’t been counting on SFS but was really in love with NYU Gallatin so it was kind of a shock when the results came out.

Thanks

She was so proud to show it to me afterward, it was adorable. (10/10)

NYU did you a favor. You are too traditional for Gallatin. NYU isn’t going to give big FA to someone who could clearly go to UVA as a VA resident.

Your WGPA is really lower than your UWGPA?

don’t even look back, OP! SFS is a fine school. Either would be great schools for the kinds of coursework you’ll get at SFS. Hoya Saxa!

Srsly? Who gives a rat’s ass, why are you even thinking about it anymore?

You should stop asking such question. Maybe because they were looking for someone with 2400 SAT… Or maybe you’re overqualified and they are afraid you will not enroll. Just dont look back and be happy with Georgetown.

Hehe! BrownParent summed it up nicely. Does it really matter? Universities reject (and accept) applicants randomly these days. For what it is worth, Georgetown (particularly the SFS) is a better option.
