Rejected from Penn ED. Do I even have a shot at Duke?

<p>Ok. I was rejected from Penn under ED and am extremely distraught now. But I guess I've to move on from here. Chances anyone for Duke RD?</p>

<p>Ahh…rejected from Penn regular isn’t good. The admit rate was about 26% for Penn. Duke’s RD admit rate is similar to Penn’s RD admit rate. Its around 13%. Sorry, but practically speaking, if you didn’t stand against ED Penn, you’re likely not going to be a fit for Duke as well. But you NEVER know! If Providence is with you, then you might as well be admitted into Harvard after Penn, Duke rejections.

<p>Your stats seem far from underachieving. I hope you were joking. You’ll have plenty of options. Acceptance at T10 school ED is a long shot for everyone!</p>

<p>There are way TOO MANY Chinese students apply to top schools for weird major (for easy getting in) and then switch to majors that bring you $$$$. Schools are tired of it.</p>
