I just got my rejection from Rutgers today. I only applied to the business school in NB on November 29th. This was a shock to me since I don’t think my stats are that bad. Should I call the admissions offices to take another look at my application?
SAT:
CR: 610
Math: 770
Writing: 630
GPA: 3.76 Weighted. Last year I got 2 D’s (AP Physics B and honors calculus) so my GPA dropped quite a bit.
Can you still apply to SAS or Newark or Camden? I don’t know when the deadline is. Hopefully you have applied to other schools? Were the Ds quarter grades or final grades?
I cant apply to the other programs anymore but they did give me an option to have my application looked at by unfilled programs. Unfortunately, RBS NB was the only school that I applied to and the D’s were final grades.
@Dogwithablogkek that stinks sorry. I’m sure those Ds are what did it unfortunately. Take them up on their offer, maybe you will get into SAS and can later transfer to RBS.
Maybe contact the office and ask? With your stats, you should have been an admit for sure…
It was the D’S in junior year that caused the rejection. Especially for the business school, where they look carefully at math grades. Take the option they gave you but also apply to some of the colleges with later deadlines…not sure why you would have only applied to 1 school.
I applied to other colleges too, but RBS NB was the only school at rutgers that i applied too.
Oh, thank goodness. Hopefully you will get accepted elsewhere.
