I know of two people who got rejected, one of whom had a 3.8 UW GPA, 2100 SAT, 32 ACT, good essays, and decent (as in, four years of sports, church activities, volunteering) ecs. Everyone I know is shocked. I talked to one of my teachers about it and she said there was no way he got rejected–and this teacher was the only person who was confident I would get into UW Honors. She tends to be pretty accurate. He’s appealing it, but I just thought I’d get that out there.

In comparison, my cousin supposedly got in with a 3.5 and an 1800 SAT, and most likely crappy essays (though I wouldn’t put it past his aunt to have withheld the BOTHELL part of UW Bothell…). Another girl got in with a 3.6/1800/26 ACT. All three applied around the same day and I’m pretty sure they all applied for general admission.

So yeah…

(Oh, and this will sound sketchy–but if the person who knows who I legitly am sees this (which I’m sure she will :P), he told me about getting rejected today. It was sad. )
