I'm so nervous guys. I got flat out rejected from UC Davis and San Diego. I'm a Computer Engineering major, by the way.

3.128 Unweighted, 3.64 UC GPA [Huge Upward Trend: 2.8 fresh -> 4.2 Junior]
33 ACT (35 English 36 Math 32 Reading 30 Science)
790 Math SAT 2

One essay is on how I matured over the summer when I visited India, other one is how I make YouTube videos on technology to share my passion with others. Essays are pretty good in my opinion.

Too lazy to post ECs, but they're pretty decent. I'd say 7.5-9ish out of 10. Essays probably 8-9ish out of 10.

Any chance at UCSB for engineering? I'm extremely worried, as are my parents.

I’m in the same boat with a similarish SAT score and GPA and trend and all that. I think if we applied undeclared we’d have had better chances, considering how competitive engineering majors are.

same here son got rejected from UCD and UCSD, but accepted to Purdue which frankly is a much higher ranked school in engineering than the above 2, only CAL is ranked higher than Purdue. Good luck to all.

The major you chose is fairly competitive I would say. Since your gpa is kinda low, it would be easier with your stats to get into another major or undeclared. I mean there isn’t much you can do now anyways besides wait, decisions get posted in 2 days. Good luck!

I was rejected to UCSD, UCD, Cal Poly SLO, and waitlisted to UCSC and I got in to UCSB as they told me at the top applicant chancellors reception last week. I hope this makes you feel a little better about your chances.

@TheNexus hope you got admitted to the major you wanted. Son got admitted to the college of Letters & Sciences instead of Engineering. Looks like he is headed to Purdue
