so, i just sent in my deposit to my college, last night :] do i need to somehow notify the others that i will not be attending? or do i just, like, ignore them until may 1st comes? lol.

no, your lack of response/payment will be interpreted as rejection. and congrats

haha, thanks…i figured as much, but i thought i read something about rejecting colleges on here, a while back : P & thank you! :]

dear (college name):

your application for my tuition money has been denied.

Sincerely, (your name)

I was wondering this, too. I see I can reject financial aid for the ONLY UNIVERSITY TO GIVE ME A PACKAGE YET… Should I do that for all the universities I don’t pick?

It’s polite to send a quick email letting them know.

I’m guessing it also helps the waitlisted get accepted faster.

I didn’t notify one I wasn’t attending… They kept sending me stuff, reminding me to enroll, then eventually saying there’s still time if I choose them. It was interesting.

But no, you don’t have to send any notification. I would, though. If they sent you a form in which you can inform them that you’re not attending though, I would fill it out and send it out. Takes about 10 seconds, and it’ll help them out.

I didn’t notify any of my colleges. It’s not necessary unless you think there’s a possibility you might be transferring there someday.
