I was curious as to whether anybody has received a rejection from IWU. A hearsay rumor I heard floating around in my school is that they actually do state why you're rejected. In an acquaintance's case, they stated they were doubtful she would be able to handle the academic load. I suppose, with many kids wondering why they were rejected, to be told would be nice except...this student is a scholarship student at our school, in the top 3 or 5, and is taking a heavy courseload of, I believe, four I.B. Higher Level subjects and two at SL level.

I heard, and this is the one I'm unsure about, is that they started the letter with "No!!!!!!"

 Is this actually possible of any school to state a rejection as blatantly as what is going around my small senior lounge? I'm wondering if it the rejection was blown up because of everybody's surprise.

When you read all informational papers from this college they are somewhat specific about how good scores have to be or how much your visits will count towards your admission or what EXACTLY they want to see in their applicants. I am sure they are more discreet in rejections, nobody there is fool but I would not put it past them to be somewhat insensitive. Overall I would say it is high school all over again with stuck up kids.

I am a sophomore (int'l) studying in IWU and I have two things to say:
1) IzzyJ, A rumor is only a rumor unless you have a proof for it.
2) lindalana, you may think that IWU kids are stuck up, but I assure you that we are not. The term "stuck up" doesn't come to my mind when I describe IWU population. It is ignorant of you to deem us stuck up kids, b/c you never know what it is to be here and you can't say it from your own experience.
