Rejections

I’m sorry you didn’t get any acceptances in the US. It’s great that you have options in your home country.

I don’t think you’ll have a different outcome if you reapply next year. Your entire application matters. Your math SAT score may be above their 50th percentile, but they won’t overlook that your EBRW score isn’t. CS majors take more than math and computer science courses, so a strong reading/writing foundation is important.

If both your scores were above the 50th percentile you still have the challenge of needing a full ride. US colleges have a limited supply of money. Most US students won’t get a full ride anywhere. I expect it’s even more difficult for international students.

I’d suggest attending college in India. If you need an advanced degree for your work in India you might consider applying to US schools then.

OP…I can relate to your pain. If it gives any solace - your situation is not unique and may not necessarily due to you being international - look at my results so far:

I have 1580 SAT (780 in EBRW); 800’s in subject tests (math1 and 2, physics, chemistry); 4.84W GPA with 13 completed AP’s (5’s in 11 of them and 4’s in 2) with 4 more AP’s in senior year. lots of EC’s and state level awards; CS research etc…etc. No financial aid requested…still got rejected/waitlist from all most all reaches (so far). The likes of CalTech, MIT, Chicago rejects plenty of US residents who don’t need financial aid as well (most of them are need blind for US residents). I am preparing myself to join the safety I got in. You still seems to have options in India. It will all work out…or at least that is how I am consoling myself
