it's ok. you'll make your dream at another school. its not which school you go to, but how you make it

that's what everyone says but yah.

well i'm sticking to it because i didn't get into my #1.. but i'm sure i'll be happy where ever i go

I applied to USC because I had family friends who are ga-ga over the school. I thought for sure if I got into SC, I'd get into UCLA. But, it didnt happen that way--Got accepted to USC, then to Berkeley, but no UCLA. So, I visit USC, but didnt like that I felt like University of Second Choice & there's no getting over the town--it's no Westwood, so I'm off to UCB I guess third on my list..

totally dissapointed man. i worked so hard in high school and ever since the end of middle school I've known usc was the school i wanted to attend. i was one of the 15 valedictorians (like 6th down from top gpa) and idk, my stats were pretty good. 4 aps. decent sat. it really sucks, but i still love the school and am going to transfer after a year (hopefully not 2) at community.

i'm sure most if not all of the people who posted above me deserved admission even more (in other words, sorry to throw my stats at you- i know many more qualified people were rejected). sry guys. my advice is: try not to stay too bitter. transfering saves money dont forget. but if you can find an equally beneficial institution (and their are plenty depending on the major) go for it.

one last thing. totally separate point: as a angelian, i gotta say usc is in a fine area. everyone thinks its ghetto, but Downtown, LA is getting its act together and is only a drive away.

It's really true... I'll be honest, SC wasn't my first choice either several years back, but I wouldn't go anywhere else now even if I could go back in time! I love the school. I'm really glad I ended up here and met some wonderful professors/friends. :) good luck to other people who got in/didn't get in, you'll be happy wherever you end up!

I remember being at some field with my best friend late at night burning rejection letters... sigh those were the days. (although USC was the first one I heard from so I wasn't too worried about other schools)
