<p>but realistically.... I think Neville will play a VERY crucial role in this final book. Even though Voldy chose Harry over Neville tho both of them fulfilled hte prophecy's criteria, Neville will overcome the perception everyone has of him as a weak and slightly dumb child. I do'nt think Harry will die, but Ron/Hermione will go for sure, and so will Hagrid. In fact I'm 150% positive Hagrid will die. It all makes sense.</p>

<p>I think it's understandable that he'd like Cedric. I mean, remmeber in GOF at the Wand ceremony? Cedri'cs wand was all nice and shiny and "pleasantly supple", if I remember Ollivanders words correctly. And Harry's wand was dirty and dusty with poor upkeep :(</p>
<p>To join into this incredibly twisted side of the conversation (though I have heard weirder -- Dobby/Giant squid fanfiction???) I did find it incredibly funny the way Voldemort said "I can touch you now" to Harry in the GoF movie. Methinks Voldy is a little pedophile-ish.</p>
<p>To present my actual theory -- I think that there is a strong chance that Harry will die, but I can see it working either way. She's done such a good job of convincing the majority of people that he has to die, that it would be just like her to pull a fast one on us. I also think that Snape is good and his position as spy will be invaluable to the Order, though he will have a tough time convincing Harry that he can be trusted. I believe that Snape is the only member of the Order that knows about the horcruxes and he will play an important part in finding and destroying them. In addition to Snape, I think the group of six that originally went to the Departent of Mysteries in OotP (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, and Luna) will play an important role in the search for the horcruxes as well as the final battle. </p>
<p>People I think may die (not counting Voldy and various Death Eaters):
-At least one Weasley (not sure who)
-Neville
-Ron, Hermione, or Ginny (one of them, but more than that would be too much I think)
-Lupin</p>
<p>I think Ron will die because his death would be the most significant:
1. He is Harry's best friend.
2. Hermione's lover.
3. A Weasley.</p>
<p>I also think that Snape will be good and die, Hagrid will die, and Neville will die a noble death.</p>
<p>Well, at least two major characters definitely die:</p>

<p>That's exactly why I think he'll survive, though I think most people disagree with me. Plus he wouldn't be killed by Voldemort (I really, really, really, don't think the prophecy is meant to say that they both have to die) so he'd have to be killed by some other Death Eater after he kills Voldemort, which would be sort of silly. I mean, if you can take Voldie, you'd think you could take anyone. Maybe he could die in some freak broomstick accident or something.</p>
