So got to be positive…

lol nope. not a target. nearly everyone from my school who applies gets in. it’s a safety.

^wow I hope you get rejected somewhere. Everyone at my school gets in too but I don’t consider NU a safety

xAAAx.
Excuse me? why would you hope that I get rejected somewhere… it’s my opinion if I consider Northeastern a safety because of the more selective schools that i applied to.

I would never hope for someone that i do not know to get rejected somewhere. that is extremely rude.

Because you seem pretty conceited to consider it a safety inless you’re in the top 10~% of students. Having that attitude that it’s just a safety and you wouldnt even attend is pretty rude. I would be happy to attend my safety

you’re being rude for absolutely no reason. My school’s students are the type of people who all get into ivy leagues. We all consider schools such as northeastern, rutgers, etc as a safety. now I know I’m not Ivy League potential and I am in no way saying that. I never said that Northeastern was a bad school, I just said that it was a safety of mine and not my first choice. They do not provide my major so why should I go. I applied to have a back up plan in case nothing else worked out. However, i have gotten into other schools so I do not need to attend Northeastern. You should really apologize for thinking all these things about me without knowing a single thing about my background and my plans for the future.

also. at the beginning of the year, i was top 15% so that is what i put on my college apps. since then, i have moved up to the top 10%. I just wanted to put what I had put on my college apps.

and also, i said i MOST LIKELY will not attend there. how does that AT ALL sound conceited.

& You should apologize for being narcissistic–do you usually praise people you have never met? I think that is, in fact, dangerous & that you need a dose of reality.

the way you put it was as if it were almost a joke. now if you were as smart as you say, you would have had better word choice and you also would not be getting upset/taking personally something on a computer screen from an anonymous high school student

well it’s a good thing you aren’t going to northeastern then because if you walked in with that attitude not many people would be very accepting. it’s very condescending to many people for you to come in here and say something along the lines of it’s generally the safety of your school because that’s just the type of people you are. Northeastern is a great school and is the top choice for many, you maybe could have worded it differently.

yeah, Northeastern is a safety school for a lot of kids at my school because it is not very selective…

and I would say it is easily a safety for photographyforlife

I praise people who have been worrying about college choices on College Confidential for getting into the college. I need a dose of reality? You need to get some counseling or something for your need to be rude to someone and bring someone down. Are you bitter because you got rejected or something? That’s not my problem. I have nothing to apologize for. College Confidential is a site where students are able to vent about college application problems, worries, etc. When they end up succeeding, shouldnt you be allowed to praise them?

thank you broncosfan212. I never said it was a bad school, it’s a great school from what I’ve heard and I have a friend who is ecstatic to go there. I just know that I applied to schools that are more selective and wish to go to a school that offers my major.

You just contradicted yourself. & you seem to be the only bitter and rude one on here and the first to ever complain about my posts. Take a chill pill

“you need to get some counseling or something…” regardless of what someone says (and i don’t particularly agree with xAAAx on many things they’ve said in the past couple of posts) telling someone to get counseling is really not the way to handle things.

But I agree with photographylife about the praise issue.

and what school is that might I ask?

lol. this is ridiculous.
I never said getting into Northeastern was a joke. I honestly said it was one of my safety schools.

I never would have complained about your posts if you weren’t rude to me in the first place.
