So LMU is really high on my college list and I was wondering how strong the Catholic religion is at LMU. I'm Presbyterian and I want to feel comfortable with my religion while possibly attending the school.

I went with my son for a weekend visit to LMU last month. This question came up and the clear answer from both the administration and the student panel was that although LMU is a Catholic school there is zero pressure about it. Students are required to take Theology classes as part of the gen. ed. but they can be in any discipline of worldwide religions and theory. There is a Catholic church on the campus but there was no feeling at all of specific denominational - or any religious- preferences and all would be welcome. You should contact the admissions office and have a conversation with them about this. You will be honestly comfortable with their response.

Thank you :)
