<p>I've had to delete a couple of political threads today, so I thought the reminder would be helpful. It doesn't matter if the discourse is civil - there is just a blanket policy against political topics, and who people would vote for falls in that category.</p>

<p>No. There used to be a politics forum in the Parents Cafe, before my time, but apparently almost every thread ended up in contention, so the forum was closed. It was taking up too much of the moderators’ time and energy. It was felt that there are plenty of other places on the internet where politics can be debated!</p>
