Award winners receive notification about 2 weeks after all finalists have completed their interviews. (NOTE: while most finalists are interviewed during Ren weekend, some international finalists are interviewed later and thus notifications may not be sent out exactly 2 weeks post Ren weekend. Generally, however, decisions are out by mid April.)

When we were there we were told that they will mail out decisions this upcoming Monday. Good luck to everyone (:

ohgod. e-mail or snail mail?

btw, do you know if it is possible to reapply to rochester after a gap year (being admitted) and qualify for Renaissance again?

ogar-you really need to call the admission office and ask.

I agree - call admissions. Ask about deferring for a year, not reapplying.

ok, thx for info. we’ll see in a week or so if it’s necessary (;

anyway, does anyone know how much weight do they place on finalist’s interviews? I’m just curious (cause I have no idea if mine was ok)

Interviews count for A LOT. As I understand the process, everyone comes into the interviews with equal standing.

I am very excited to announce that the Renaissance Scholarship decision letters have just been mailed! This happened at 11:30 am EST on Friday, April 6th.

Start checking your mailbox next week! Good luck to all of the finalists.

Only you know how fast letters can reach your location when they are sent from Rochester, NY, so please adjust the expectation of your letter’s arrival accordingly.

When will the online financial aid site be updated to reflect any changes as a result of the decisions?

Thanks for the update, Tyler!

No problem, PinotNoir!

midwesternmom, the Renaissance letters have all been mailed today. I have just been told by the Financial Aid counselors that revised financial aid packages will be emailed to these Renaissance finalists next week (by Friday).

I GOT IT I am inexpressibly relieved and excited at the same time !! it’s really a dream-come true for me.

So what do we have to do at the interview? How different will it be from the admissions interview?

The scholarship interview focuses more on what diversity/activism/specialness will you bring to UR. More on how you will impact life at UR.
