Well, if I was just next-door Junior of you guys, I'd be glad to repeat a year. But I am already a year older than other Juniors. And it makes me hesitate. I'm an immigrant, and when I moved to here, I repeated a year already. (which makes me 18 and Junior in March.) In the long run, it does not seem to be harm. It's for a better academic situation. More knowledge is better for my life experience. So I don't know what makes me to turn myself down. I feel like I should not repeat the junior year, I just feel. I wanna ask you guys how you think about it. When I got the course catalog, I was so jealous that there are kids who are already getting these classes and ECs, and I felt a year is just not enough. I am attending public school now, which is very small, and only offers the most basic classes. No sports, no music, at all. Students are not willing to challenge themselves at all. They'd get a phone in the class and fool around on the hallway. But I....I don't know. I don't know it is better for me to repeat the Junior year or not. Any advice? (+ and I want to ask, do I have to check with the school whether they accept repeating students, or not? Or do they get repeating students because they are private? In public school, you know, it's sometimes impossible.)

+Is there anyway I can apply for 12th in one school and 11th in others, using Gateway to Prep School common app?
+I said I am applying for 12th on inquiry request. I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem to submit 11th, but I just want to double check.
