reply card and deposit?

hey, guys.

it's been a week and a half since I sent those stuff to U of C and I didn't hear anything back. so I am kinda worried. maybe I am a little too anxious. I had these problems before, such as they don't have things they are supposed to have.

did you people who already sent your reply card and tuition deposit, hear anything back from U of C?
if you did, how long did it take?
if you didn't when are they gonna start contacting the student who are commited?

thx.

i got my reply to them on the 15th, they sent me a reply on about the 23rd. dont worry about it. they probably your reply less than a week ago. dont hesistate to call if it would make you feel better.

I put in my cards and whatnot last Friday while at their overnight. I wouldn't worry. I think they said that it might be the first week of May before I should expect a confirmation letter. They get really busy in the last weeks of April.

My daughter sent here accepantance and deposit in April 10 and got a letter with a poster and decal in about a week.

I emailed my admissions officer about a deferral...she told me to send in my class deposit and a letter addressed to Mr. O'Neill explaining my reasons...

That was two weeks ago...I emailed Mr. O'Neill last week, and still haven't heard anything back. I called the office two days ago and the woman on the phone (although very nice) said that she'd look into it, but that they were probably deciding on whether or not to grant me a deferral...seeing as how housing forms are due by the 1st, I can't exactly say I'm very pleased...

BandDad -
welcome to the forum!

thx for the replies everyone

Jpps1:
They will grant deferals.

Just be brief and don't go into to many details.....

Trust me.

I'm in the middle of mine.

And I deferred aftered the housing deposit was sent as well. (the reason for this was I want to go study for a year in a non-credit program for religious purposes. In otherwords I went to a women's midrasha/yeshiva program. But I applied late. so I didn't know if i was accepted until after I sent in the housing deposit...i faxed my deferal..another note: this is really common where I live..but not to do it as late as I did)

Since I got in with the class of 2008..I was given my acceptacne for your deferal to be with you guys on May 19, 2004. In other words, after all of the forms had been proccessed (this may not happen if you defered with your acceptance.)

Some notes about deferal:

For some reason I was on last years CPO mailing list. Kind of fun to do it twice....

But yes, unless they have a legit reason to say no, they will defer up to a years time.

Have fun on your year off.

It is an amazing growing experience done in a low key way.

In mY high school, about 80% took the year off this year (that's my graduating class, the class of 2004) We went to Israel.....actually not neccessarily the best thing in the world...but overall people younger than us who know us well say that those who did not go did not mature as much as those who did go, becuase we were give more growing space in a low key environment.

Enjoy it while you can.

Well, I still haven't heard anything about my deferral request...I'm starting to get impatient.
