I took the ap calc bc exam. should i report both the ap calc bc score and the ab subscore? or is the bc score sufficient by itself? thanks

Depends on what you got, perhaps. A 5 in BC is enough to suggest that you got a 5 in AB.

It is definitely possible to receive a 5 on the BC overall, but a 4 on the AB subscore. This happened to two out of the ten or so people that took the exam in my class. I would definitely include it. I put the subscore in additional info because I didn’t have enough room and it is perhaps the least important of any AP/SATII scores.

^Really? That’s surprising. I stand corrected.

1-2 of the free responses and a portion of the MC do not count towards the AB subscore. If you get most all the AB-specific questions right, then you’ve got a 5 on the subscore, but if you screw up a suitable amount of the problems that don’t contribute to the subscore, you’ll get a 4 (or maybe 3? but I doubt it) overall.

Yeah I did the same thing as keellota. I’d personally suggest reporting it regardless if you got a good score for it, or better than your BC score, as it fills up more space, which is generally a good thing when you’re showing a good score.
