Report AP Scores When Applying?

My Daughter has completed and submitted her common app and is applying to 11 schools (small LACs). SATs and SAT IIs have been reported through collegeboard.com to all schools.

APs (so far two 5s and a 3) have been noted (self reported) in the appropriate section on the common app.

Do we/should we officially send the APs via collegeboard reporting service to the schools she’s applying to? Will that increase the chances of getting in or the chances of getting merit aid in any way?

No, self reporting on the Common App should be enough unless any of her LACs consider certain official AP scores as part of their standardized test flexible options. Very few offer this, Colorado College is one exmple. Also, some high schools include AP scores on the official transcript.

The AP scores are not on the HS transcript, but seems like self reporting on the Common App should suffice, at least until she winds up choosing a school and they may want the official results then.

Self-Report on Common App. Once she is accepted and chooses a school, send the official report to just that school!
