Last PS of the evening - The ACL cast usually stays overnight in nice hotels. They only sleep on the bus when they have a long way to travel (and so far, they haven’t really had all that far to go - but those times are coming!).

They are going to about 80 cities in 37 states, so may of you should be able to catch them.

Ericsmom – I am envious you got to see her. She and I were texting yesterday and I was facebook chatting later with her mom! I agree she is a doll. Very much missed… but thrilled to see her doing so well. Glad that your S is having a terrific time too!!

My s is loving being Mark in A chorus line. I got to meet Eric in Reading - what a wonderful and talented guy. Ironically the gal playing Maggie( Karley Willocks) and my son have grown up doing theater together in Annapolis. Just for the record David just finished his freshman year at UArts and has taken a leave of absence to go on tour.

Hey, mamag63. I got to meet your son, too, in Scranton, and I also got a great pic of him and Eric together. Send me an e-mail (from the drop-down menu) so I’ll have your e-mail and can forward you the picture! Your son is doing great for being so young! In the latest video they posted on the tour’s facebook page, you can see them both dancing in that first number and looking great!

My daughter (NYU/Tisch 2010)booked a 4 performance staged reading of the winner of the Richard Rodgers 2010 Musical “Rocket Science” through Playwrights Horizons, with Kathleen Marshall directing.
She also got her Equity card. Almost everyone in the reading had Broadway credits.

And at the beginning of week 2, last Monday, went on an audition to replace one of the actresses in the Off- Broadway show “Freckleface Strawberry” and BOOKED IT! Open ended Equity contract. She didn’t think she would get it because they needed her to start ASAP. But they waited for her. We are all so excited.
She started rehearsals yesterday - and they hope to put her in by next weekend! Thanks goodness she kept up her pointe work.

She plays the best friend - “Ballet Girl” in a small ensemble cast at New World Stages.

Jane, this is all truly fantastic…BOTH THINGS! I had very recently run across an article about the Rocket Science staged reading and saw your D’s name on the cast list and thought “wow” how great is that? Congrats to her on both bookings and the Equity card. She is definitely on her way! Yay!

(PS…good friend of my D’s, a 2008 Tisch grad, was also in Rocket Science)
