So I just got that letter in the mail that tells me I scored in the top 50,000 for the PSAT and I have the choice to report my scores to two colleges of choice. The problem is, I got a pretty bad score of 201 and I'm pretty sure I'm only Commended. Should I choose to send my score? My SAT is qualified with a 2300 (seriously) and I will definitely apply to several Ivies and the like. What would be the implications of my sending of my 201 PSAT score to Stanford and U of Chicago (my top 2 choices)?

I don’t believe they see the score. They just know that you are a Commended student.

The only thing the colleges will use a PSAT score for is recruiting including sending you promo material. It will not be used to determine admission and it will not even be put in the file that gets reviewed by those who determine admission.
