Hi everyone,
I recently applied to Northwestern University early decision and in the extracurricular section of the Common Application I included that I created a YouTube calculus channel. However, I did not provide the name or a link to the channel. I have an interview scheduled for Tuesday and I plan on showing the interviewer some of my videos, but I still wonder if I should contact Northwestern over the phone or by e-mail to tell them the name of the channel.
Thank you.
Don’t send them the link unless you get deferred or waitlisted. You can show your interviewer if it comes up naturally, but don’t go out of your way to show them because you could come off as pushy. Also, a lot of schools don’t want to have to go to a separate website for applicants unless they specifically ask for a portfolio/website or resume
