Request a refund?

I'm a senior in APCS and I found out my college won't give me credit for the AP test no matter what score I get. Would it be possible to get a refund since I didn't take the test yet? Here is what Collegeboard says:

You may ask for a refund if you do not begin an exam for which you have paid. Local school policy determines the amount of the refund. You will probably be required to pay the $13 fee the school is charged for each unused exam. Once you begin an exam -- that is, write on an exam booklet or answer sheet -- you cannot receive a refund.

Since my school had an assembly a while ago where we filled out information on the AP answer sheet (name, address, phone #, etc), does this actually count as "beginning the exam"?

We filled out those student packs and information sheets at my school a while ago. I talked to my AP Coordinator about not taking an exam (AP French) and she told me that as long as the plastic isn’t broken on the exam, that my school would refund all but $15 of the $87. But you’ll have to talk to your school to know for sure.
